Orienteering is a sport open to anyone, irrespective of fitness or medical standard. It focuses on Map reading and navigation skills whilst deciphering an orienteering map, having different colours and symbols to a conventional Ordinance survey map.

The Army Orienteering Association hold basic skills courses at Longmoor Camp for newcomers which explains an orienteering map, including: colour, symbols, scale and terrain.

The AGC team is made up of members from across the Corps, with different levels of expertise who put on the Corps colours and try their best at events.

There is opportunity to participate in competitions throughout the year in different areas around the UK including: The Lake District, sand dunes of Wales, forests of Scotland and the urban environment of any City / Town.

The team also deploy every 3 years on an Overseas Sports Tour. The most recent being 2022 World Masters and Tour Competition in Italy.
