The AGC recognises the challenges and stress that come hand in hand with military life and are committed to ensuring that our soldiers and their families receive care and support 24/7.

Benevolent Grants

In time of need, hardship or distress the AGC Benevolent Grant is available for serving and retired personnel, Reservists and their eligible dependants.

Financial assistance may be given for help with the costs of: Disability adaptation in the home, mobility equipment, help with priority debts, food vouchers, clothing and household necessities, medical travel and accommodation grants to support families travelling long distance for specialist care and unforeseen travel costs following a family bereavement.

No one can foresee what may happen and how it happens; the AGC will always try to help and if it is unable to it will signpost you to another Organisation.

Army Welfare Service

The Army Welfare Service (AWS) is the Army's professional welfare provider. It delivers a comprehensive and confidential welfare service responsive to the needs of individuals and families including personal support, community support - including deployment support for families, an information network (HIVE) and joint service housing advice. 

The AWS support is offered to: Regular Soldiers, their families and communities, the Army Reserve and Reservists and in certain cases Veterans and MoD Civilians overseas.
